Ed
O達rien learned his craft and received a
Bachelor of
Pre-Architecture w/ a Minor in Visual Arts from the
Clemson University College of
Architecture
in 1974. He went on to attain a
Bachelor of Architecture w/ a
Minor in Civil Engineering from the
New Jersey Institute of Technology College of Architecture
in
1978. While at NJIT he learned
the structural system of education, licensing, and the
organization of state agencies. He also received a solid
foundation in structural engineering.
In
professional practice, Ed O達rien has served as both a Member
and Chairman of the
Tewksbury Township Historic Preservation
Commission where he
led the
creation and formulation of the published township design
guidelines. His efforts created a greater awareness about
architecture in general, sensitivity to style and context,
fairness, and the creation of a cohesive policy for
construction and renovation.
Ed O達rien
was recruited to the Board of the
South Branch Watershed Association to advise on Solar energy and architectural design. He
was a facilitator whose role was the creation of awareness for
the design of buildings that are site specific, energy
efficient, ergonomic, and indigenous.
Currently,
Ed O達rien is the Chairman of the
Hunterdon County Board of Construction
Appeals
where his extensive knowledge of
building codes and their interpretation is used to assist the
County.

Ed O達rien
is an active member of
The American Institute of
Architects (AIA)
and locally,
The New Jersey Society of
Architects (AIA New Jersey) the premier professional association
that maintains national standards for professional conduct, informs
members on current design trends and litigious issues, shares
information globally, and provides for a better, more
professional service to clients.
Ed
O達rien, Architect has been certified by the
National Council of
Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) as having a practice that has been reviewed and
certified to be of the highest professional standards. This
certification allows Ed to practice and work in other states. |
